I’m writing this in Windows Live Writer. Seems kinda cool. Anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, mostly because I’ve been really busy with other things. Primarily, I started a new job at the end of September. A much needed change after pretty much 8 Months of unemployment, living off of odd jobs and staying at my parent’s house.
A new job you say? That’s right, I joined the Workstation Management Team at SallieMae. My official position is Sales Support Analyst. This means I support the remote sales people that work from home throughout the country. I also have a few floors in our Fisher, IN office that I support. So far I’m loving the job, and enjoy the team that I’m working with. It’s certainly keeping me busy.
Other than that I’ve been pretty much occupying my time with friends, church, and WoW. Last night I started the process of upgrading my computer. First parts were a Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition, Gigabyte 790GX Motherboard and 4GB of Corsair XMS2 Memory. I’m pretty happy with the performance so far. I haven’t done a lot with it yet as I’ve been installing software.
Hey everyone. It has been a month since our last pod-cast and I thought I would give you a quick update on what is going on. We have all been really busy over the last few weeks. Brooks, Christian and I have been swamped with school and Colin recently started a new job so we have had little time. Also we are thinking about changing the format of the show doing more a person “what the frak” segment each week and thats it. We will keep you posted.
TV is back folks! We discuss the new shows we’re pumped for and the ones we love that are returning. Spore has come out this week and Christian gives his impressions of the game. Also, Zach had the chance to get in on the Wrath of the Lich King beta, and he lets us in on the first few levels of the Death Knight class. All that and more!
A painfully slow two-week period for news in TV, movies, and games, but we still manage to find a few things to talk about. Unfortunately, nearly everything we found was about people or companies throwing around terrible ideas and making decisions that don’t benefit us as consumers. Thankfully XBox Live Arcade brought us a ray of light.
I love that Wordpress 2.6 and above supports Google Gears. For those that haven’t noticed, there’s a “Turbo” option up in the right hand corner of your Dashboard now. If you have Google Gears installed, it will cache large portions of the back end of the site locally on your machine. Pretty sure this requires Firefox to work, but I haven’t tried it in any other browsers yet.
Also, I find it really amusing when programs make fun of stupid things that prominent people have said. Let’s just say the Google Gears team has a sense of humor.
